  31. - ASCII-pick-list added for names such as Jäger and Ängström.
  32.   These special characters are normally generated by a combination
  33.   of the ALT-key and the numeric key-pad.
  34.   In BatchReminder this is not possible because the ALT-key controls
  35.   the pull-down menu. By pressing Control-A one may call the shortened
  36.   ASCII-list from most data-entry screens in BatchReminder.

  38. - 4 function Calculator with memory-function which may be operated with
  39.   the mouse or key-board.

  41. - Introduction of BatchReminder Memo's which are connected to address-
  42.   records in the address-file. This was implemented by special request
  43.   of a chef and a salesman. The chef needed a way to record and
  44.   retrieve dinner-preferations and diets for his customers. The other
  45.   needed it to type in a short report about the last visit to a
  46.   account.

  48.   The memos may be made unreadable for prying eyes by means of
  49.   data-encryption.

  51.   Furthermore these memos may be exported to a TEXT-file.
  52.   On export the memo is date-stamped so the memo-text file can turn
  53.   into a log-file with valuable information.

  57. The following problems where solved:
  58.  
  59. - Memory-problem when calling the address-index.
  60.   Over a certain amount of entries BatchReminder ran out of
  61.   string-space when constructing the index.
  62.  
  63. - The reporterscreen always expected a user response when it popped up.
  64.   This meant that if no response followed, the screen would stay on
  65.   permanently thus holding up other processes.
  66.   Now the reporterscreen only stays on for 5 minutes after which
  67.   it will self-terminated, that is, if the user did not press enter
  68.   before that time.

  72. New feature

  74. - File-browse utility BatchBrowse (BB.EXE) has been added to enable the user
  75.   to browse and print the BatchReminder TEXT-files such as exported
  76.   memos and the DIARY historical file.
  77.   In fact it will browse files, drives and sub-directories indiscriminately,
  78.   please use it as you see fit.

  80. - MS Word for Windows support, which was already available through
  81.   export, has been added to Mail Merge.
  82.   The documentation gives a in-depth-approach about Mail Merging
  83.   with MS Word through ODBC.
